All Marines, young & old, whether active, retired, or veteran, are invited to join other Marines for a casual cake cutting ceremony and celebration of the United States Marine Corps’ 247th birthday at The Freetown Boom Boom Room in Lafayette the Evening of November 10th. Cake will be provided, drinks are on you but cheap. No cover to get in.

Hosts: John & Thad. We’re just a couple GWOT era vets who did a small celebration with some Boom Boom Room regulars last year and it was a lot of fun. We decided to do it again this year and wanted to spread the fun and joy to others!

Bar open: Usually around 7:30PM

Cake cutting ceremony: 8:30PM
Yes, we’re doing the script. No, we won’t be at attention. We might sing something at some point but really we just want to have fun! FREE CAKE will be provided by John and Thad.

Please mark yourself as coming or message us by the 9th so we can make sure we have enough cake for everyone. We’ll plan to have extra if you find out about this last minute. One of us will stick around until 9:30PM for anyone running late that would still like to stop by for a piece and hear “happy birthday” from a fellow Devil Dog.
